What's inside

Twelve chapters, about 25,000 words. Written for people already using Grok Bot. Part story, with you as the main character, and part plain how-to.

All 12 chapters

  1. Chapter 1 Your First Employee
You hand one boring, repeating job to a single Grok Bot and treat it like a new employee: a clear job, a first week of checking, and you still approve what matters. It covers how to pick that first job and what the first few days honestly look like.
  2. Chapter 2 One Idea, Made Real
You take one idea from the list in your head to something real. The work is split across four bots (research, writing, design and launch), a running status page keeps track, you set a price, and nothing goes live until you approve it.
  3. Chapter 3 Then Another
The second idea goes faster because half the team already exists. You add bots for the new jobs, decide what is shared and what stays separate, keep two businesses straight, and learn what to do when an idea flops.
  4. Chapter 4 Hiring Without Hiring
A pile of helpers becomes a team. Each bot gets a written job card, you draw an org chart, add a manager bot, keep plain names, and decide what to do when a bot isn't working out. A third business, a channel, joins.
  5. Chapter 5 The Night Shift
Routines let your team work while you're away or asleep. They prepare drafts rather than act, a briefing bot sums up the night, and an approval queue holds finished drafts for you. It also covers testing a routine and watching for problems.
  6. Chapter 6 Whatever's in Your Head
The ideas you're a little embarrassed about get their turn. The story adds storybooks about a raccoon who runs a repair shop and a store for physical raccoon products, and shows how each business can feed the others, and how to say no to ideas.
  7. Chapter 7 Forty Desks, One Chair
The team grows to forty desks with one chair. Every business gets a manager, a head office handles bookkeeping, quality, brand and terms, and you learn how managers report to you and how to keep the whole thing from sprawling.
  8. Chapter 8 The Money Side
The money side, honestly, with no income promises. Each business is labeled an earner, a feeder or a bet, you hold a monthly money meeting, keep your own hands on the money, get real help with taxes, and know when to stop something.
  9. Chapter 9 Staying the Boss
The job you can never hand off. Three kinds of actions, rules that don't bend, standing rules written down, spot checks and an approval log, plus the story of a day a price typo nearly went out.
  10. Chapter 10 Your Creativity Is the Only Limit
With time, money and help no longer the main limits, your creativity is. The story's seventh business is a board game first sketched on a napkin, with a first playtest, and the chapter covers getting unstuck and keeping it fun.
  11. Chapter 11 The Genie
Clearly labeled as projection from the first page. It looks ahead to Grok Bot becoming something like a genie in three stages (shorter instructions, teams that run themselves, then the wish) and to what stays the same: you decide.
  12. Chapter 12 The Abundant Future
A projection of what it could mean when everyone has a team, then a practical plan: five small steps you can take tonight, what to say to your first bot, and answers to the questions people ask most.

Each chapter ends with a short "What it won't do" section, a labeled look ahead, and homework you can do that week.
